The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University and REI Outdoor School have teamed up to offer new water-focused environmental learning and outdoor education activities at Spring Lake. All activities are education focused and led by interpreters who are committed to protecting and sharing Spring Lake.

Join REI for a moonlit kayak tour on one of the Hill Country's most beautiful spring-fed lakes. Experience the spring's glow under the light of a full moon. Share a relaxing paddle with us as the sun sets and the moon rises over the waters of the Edwards Aquifer. This is the perfect time to see nocturnal wildlife come alive as they seek out the springs.
