Dr. Rob Dussler Bio

Rob Dussler, Ph.D.

Chief Education Officer 

Rob Dussler earned his master’s degree in Outdoor Education Administration from Georgia College and State University. He earned his doctorate in Recreation and Leisure Studies from the University of Georgia. Dr. Dussler developed the Bachelor of Science degree program in Outdoor Leadership at Young Harris College.

In addition, he served as a faculty member, Department Chair, and Director of the Outdoor Leadership Center. Dr. Dussler was the 2008 recipient of the Vulcan Award for Teaching Excellence- the highest award presented to a faculty member at the College.

He has over 25 years of teaching experience in outdoor adventure education. Dussler is currently Chief Education Officer at The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University.
