Blaschke Scholarship

The Don & Reba Blaschke Scholarship for the Protection of the San Marcos River for Texas State University Students

Lake Bottom

The Don and Reba Blaschke Scholarship of $500 is awarded annually by The Meadows Center. In 2002, Jon Kurt Blaschke established the Don and Reba Blaschke Scholarship in honor of his parents’ dedication and life-long commitment to environmental appreciation and protection. This scholarship gives Kurt and the university community an opportunity to participate in the preservation of San Marcos’ most significant natural resource: The San Marcos River. Kurt is a Texas State University Geography alumnus, graduating in December 1996 with a B.S. in general geography. Kurt established the scholarship to pay tribute to his parents and to share his own good fortune with future Texas State students.
